Worst site ever, Otakon 2004

The next morning I woke up to my alarm. We were all pretty tired even though we slept in til around 10:30ish. I think i snoozed once or twice because my alarm lets me do that (doesn't any?). Anyway, my back was beginning to hurt from laying down on the ground so i jumped up to my feet and was announced that i was going to open the blinds. I've never heard so many groans in my life. Most of them were coming from Lindy who was temporarily blinded by the light. At this point everyone started to get up, and while Glick took a shower we all ate Tim's girlfriend's delicious brownies which Lindy smashed by sitting on them. We then left for the 'con once again.
The first thing we went to was a panel on how to make your own desktop arcades. This was probably the best panel we were at the entire time. It was very informative, gave lots of tips on how to make your own arcade style box and controllers and what not. I was pretty impressed by it. They passed things like joysticks and buttons around and i felt bad for the people next to us because Tim was playing space invaders inside his head with everything and it took like twenty minutes to get to the next person. After the panel the picture above was taken (thus the reason why Glick and Lindy are up there). Tim must have overloaded on caffeine or something because he was shaking like a mother fucker when he took this picture.
To tell you the truth i dont remember what the hell we did right after this. I dont know if we just walked around for awhile or not because the next thing we went to was a panel on Anime Music Videos. We went to this the previous year, and we realized that we only had to go for the last 5 minutes to get the free music video cds they give out at the end. After this though, Lindy got the idea that we make a music video like last year (last year's never happened because we are all too lazy to make one). Anyway, he suggested putting a bunch of Chappelle's Show skits in the background and using anime and other cartoon shows to demonstrate it. He wanted to use the popular lines of:"Break yo' self fool!"
"Oh Shit! It's Wayne Brady!"
"Does Wayne Brady need to choke a bitch?"
And many more...
I think we went from there to the dealers room where Tim, Lindy and I just looked at stuff that we could obtain from the internet from free. Glick went to the gaming room where he spent 2 hours losing at Soul Caliber 2. We tried to stay away from the gaming room this time because last year we were there for probably around 12 hours. 12 hours to play games we have at home. It wasnt a real waste of time last year because Glick came in 2nd in the Super Smash Brothers Tourney and Lindy came in 8th in the Halo Tourney. Anyway, we were trying to stay away from there cause it kind of defeats the purpose of going to Otakon.
After that we went to yet another workshop, this time about contour drawing. Glick and Lindy had a great time in there while Tim and I were bored to tears... that is after we were called out on being jackasses in the beginning. I dont know why we were there, none of us have any artistic ability (exhibit 1 - my website which you are reading, exhibit 2 - any of my comics), and two contour drawing is like sketching except boring. Sketching is more fun not because you are trying to make something cool, its just because its like figuratively regurgitating your brains onto a paper using a pencil. Anyway, after about an hour and 15 mintues and after i used my modelling skills, Tim and I left to go to the Evangelion Question and Answer session Panel.
Before I really go into this, let me excplain this anime in as little space as I can. Basically its the end of the world and a bunch of 14 year olds are picked to pilot huge bio-robots to save humanity. From that explaination it sounds like the show is marketed to young'ens but the show is more philosophical than all of the Matrix movies put together and is easily the most contraversial thing i have ever seen in my life. The reason for this Q & A is to help clear up some of these problems. Unfortunately, this guy who does know his shit, talks about stupid things for half of his time and doesnt even talk about the show. I liked this even though probably no one else did but whatever, they can go fuck themselves.
By this point it was like 6:30, so we head over to ESPN zone to eat. The real reason to go there was to find out what happened because it was the trade deadline for Major League Baseball. I had to call my dad earlier to find out who was traded so that Lindy didnt flip out in public when we found out that Polanco wasnt traded. He still made a big fuss about it while we were walking there and some of the nerds looked at us like we were the ones who were weird. Anyway, we ate there, i had a good 10 dollar burger and everything was good.
We were in a rush to come back because we had to go to this workshop on how to make Music Videos. Now let me explain how much i wanted to go to this. I usually have great bladder and bowel control, but i really had to go to the bathroom after dinner. When we got in I managed to sit there for an hour and a half before i eventually caved in and went to the crapper. The first bathroom i went to had a minimum 15 minute wait to any stall (i had to go number 2), so i bolted out of there and went to the nearest other bathroom which was about 1000 feet from the first bathroom. That was probably the most relieving shit of my life. Anyway, i get back to the workshop and they are still taking questions and answering them. These people were rediculous. You could tell that they had no lives what so ever. And this is coming from me. These people spend 300 dollars on an anime, not to watch it but to cut it out and put it into a 5 minute song. Talk about a waste of money. By the end Lindy threw another fit and said he couldnt take the tone of the guy's voice so he left and went to go watch Hentai (animated porn) by himself. The panel ended shortly after that and we went to go talk to him. After the workshop this spawned a tiny conversation between us three.Glick - "I liked that guy's texan accent"
Me - "I thought he had a speech impediment"
Tim - "They're basically the same thing."
After we left the panel we were confronted with soemthing we just couldn't take. You see Otakon's general age has been going down for the past 5 years and this year it was like being a sophomore in high school again. Everywhere we looked we saw kids who this was their first time away from their parents begging for hugs from strangers. There were even a few couples hooking up. As you should know, these are all nerds, dorks and dweebs. They are all very ugly and when you mix them all togethre you can only get one word that describes it 'fugly.' Glick was literally about to go up and start attacking people who had 'hug me' signs but then we met up with Lindy who said there was an hour wait to go see the porn. At this point we called it a night and went back to our hotel room.
I dont know what set Glick off other than those kids but he was going crazy for the rest of the night. He couldnt be controlled. We were watching Speicies 2 and he just wouldnt shut up. I think i was egging him on, i dont really remember how but i remember that Glick was being annoying as hell. Lindy wanted to go to sleep a little earlier than us and sparked an annoying moment with Glick:Glick- " At least cover your shame."
Lindy - "What, my dick's not showing"
Glick - "No your face"
At this point we just called it a night and forced Glick to go to sleep, but that was not before Lindy moved to the floor and Tim to the bed.
My alarm went off yet again...
