After taking my Baseball Final at school at 9 in the morning it was just me and my computer till 2 when i was to be picked up. My brother Dan, suggested that to pass my self off as a nerd i should watch Star Trek with him till i left. I did so and learned much of the nerd ways.

Moving on, Tim and Lindy picked me up at 2 o'clock right on time, and we went over to Glick's to pick him up. When we got there, we knocked and got no answer. We knocked harder and still no answer. We called glick on his cell phone, no answer. We called him again and he answered. Evidently he was listening to Jedi Mind Tricks in his underwear and is completly not ready at all. At this point i started calling him a big piece of shit.

So after that rocky start, we are on the road. I am sitting next to Glick, which is when he starts pissing me off so much. I dont even remember why, he just did. he asked Tim if he could we listen to Jedi Mind Tricks in the car, and Tim agreed but in about 3 seconds of listening and finding out that one it is rap, and two they are just yelling their names over and over again Tim interjected with "Turn this shit off!" This was just the start of things Glick shouldn't be telling us to listen to or watch. About half way there Glick starts drawing something stupid... like an upside down car and a laser beam or some shit like that, i then point out how dumb it is and he gets angry. I know how dumb my drawings are on this website but i dont get pissed off when people tell me so. So after an hour and a half we arrive in Baltimore.

We found a parking spot at a meter which was good cause that saved us about 10 bucks and we went to go wait in line. Before I go on, let me explain this line situation. We went on Thursday to get in line for just preregistration. There is nothing going on at Otakon on Thursday, everything starts Friday so basically the only reason to stand in line is to save time for the next day. As we are walking up, we realize how long the line really is. The convention center in baltimore is basically two buildings, if you walked around both of them its probably a little over a mile (circumference), the line stretched from the front doors to about 50 feet from the front. Once you are inside you have another minimum wait of 30 minutes. (See diagram below).

such a long line
So as we realize this (and it wasnt any different last year except this year we were there before they even began to let people into the building) Glick promptly says "I forgot my nerd repellant" and Lindy replies with "Its called deodorant." How true he was. As soon as we got in line, another bunch of guys got in right behind us, and they fucking stunk like all hell. A few months ago i had a comic saying that nerds need deodorant and it still holds true. The smell of BO is so awful that the only thing worse is one of Lindy's horrific shits. We waited about 45 minutes in the sun trying to get inside. Half of that was actually in the shade of the building, and because only Lindy and i have spent any significant time outside this summer, Tim and Glick both got sun burnt in about 20 minutes.

After we got inside, to pass the time, because for some reason the line inside moved slower than the one outside, we started talking about Chappelle's Show. There was a specific skit where Chappelle was talking about he wanted to be a rapper and his angle would be to half goat. He then made this flute-like noise of his song. Well Lindy started saying that every 5 seconds. As soon as everyone else realized how annoyed i was getting of it, they all started doing it. Its funny how you can run something into the ground by repeating it like a moron for 50 minutes straight. So after waiting again for about 40 minutes we got our badges and left. We went to get something to eat at a place that was equivlant of a mall cafeteria and left to go to Glick's friends house to spend the night.

We went to this house last year and i have to say that the family living there is the nicest family i have ever met. First of all they were letting basically complete strangers into their house, letting them sleep on their beds, use their electronics and kept us where basically the most valuble things in the house were. Even better was that the mother gave us all fresh toothbrushes and stuff. Anyway, we spent the rest of the night watching Spiderman (i spent the rest of the night explaining why i thought Spider-Man 2 was so shitty) and Rising Sun. After that, we went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up...
